Anyone else pulling ads from Meta…?

We’re pulling all of our ads and $100k yearly budget away from Meta at my company. I can’t handle the idea of our money supporting what I see as Nazi sympathizers. Is anyone else doing this but staying quiet about it?

We’d like to, but it’s hard. What platforms are you looking into instead?

We’re shifting to podcast sponsorships, more trade shows, and exploring niche email newsletters.

@Azriel
Best of luck.

Sounds like a slow-moving approach.

It’s their choice. Wait until they start questioning how trade show organizers voted, or what podcast listeners believe. Pretty soon, they’ll be using carrier pigeons or smoke signals.

@Azriel
Let me know if you need help updating your resume.

TikTok propaganda, huh?

I’ve seen major advertisers pull back their Twitter budgets since Elon took over. Meta might see something similar soon, though B2C is different.

Twitter advertisers didn’t leave for ethics—they left because Musk’s changes drove people away. What was left? A mess. No one wanted their brand tied to that. Meta isn’t in the same position yet.

It’s harder to move away from Meta since it covers Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. That’s a big chunk of the market.

Double lol.

We stopped spending $8,000 a month on Facebook in 2019 because of a 99% bounce rate. Haven’t looked back.

I’m doing the same. Completely agree with you.

Sounds like my kind of post.

Where’s that money going now?

Probably meme coins.

There are reasons to dislike Meta, X, or certain political figures. But casually calling people Nazis over policy disagreements is offensive. Do you realize what actual victims of Nazism went through? Families destroyed, people starved and murdered, entire lives wiped out. Stop trivializing their suffering for the sake of your ad budget. It’s wrong and disrespectful.

@Cary
Honestly, I’m so over this kind of argument.
