Should I give digital marketing a try?

Hey everyone, I’m new here.

I was preparing for my MBA exams for the past two years but didn’t score well. Since I have a bachelor’s in zoology, I don’t really have any skills or work experience.

I want to learn something that could improve my profile and help me land a job, preferably remote, so I can try the exams again. I’ve got a couple of months free now, and I’m thinking about digital marketing. Is it a good choice, or should I consider something else?

I’ve also started learning Excel and PowerPoint. But now I’m wondering if I should stick with digital marketing, and if so, how should I begin? I really need to learn some skills and find a job in the next 2-3 months.

Any advice would be really helpful.

Hey, what are you hoping to achieve with digital marketing? Are you looking for a full-time career or something to do on the side? Happy to chat more about it!

Hey! I want to turn digital marketing into a career. I’ve already taken some courses, but I don’t have much hands-on experience yet. I’ve created a few WordPress websites, so I do have some practical skills. I’m just looking to grow my career with this extra skill. Thanks for your help!

CXL offers a good range of professional, practical courses with certifications too.

Hey, I have a project you can work on to practice! Let me know if you’re interested.

Make sure you make up your mind on whether you want to stick with digital marketing or focus on your academic path. You can definitely learn digital marketing within the time you have available. There are plenty of free online courses to help you get started. I’ve also posted some beginner digital marketing FAQs on my profile, which could be useful for you.

Digital marketing is a great option. It’s in demand, has lots of remote work possibilities, and can be learned quickly. Start by learning the basics like SEO, social media marketing, and Google Ads. You can practice your skills by setting up a small blog or managing a mock project to build a portfolio. Keep working on Excel and PowerPoint too, since they’re helpful in almost any job.

Hey! I’m currently studying digital marketing and e-commerce, and it’s really fun and there’s a lot to learn. Have you tried Coursera? You can work at your own pace, and you only pay a monthly fee (around $50) to complete the courses. At the end, you even get a Google certification :sparkles::sparkles:
