Starting career in digital marketing as freelancer, need your advice?

I’m 29 years old, highly educated, and have a master’s degree in chemistry. However, our country does not offer good permanent jobs, so I’m starting a regular business and also want to start freelancing. I don’t want to make a lot of money from digital marketing per se, but whatever I do make will be a bonus. I feel like this job is perfect for me because I also want to create content and am skilled in writing, creativity, and data analysis. What should I focus on, and can I earn a regular income from freelancing if I’m average at it?

I am aware that some people who freelance have found success on Fiverr. My spouse will investigate that. I work in digital marketing, and I’ve discovered that a lot of internet businesses can use the skills I’ve learnt! I’d be delighted to talk more!

Can you tell me more about this, means is it actually sought after by clients, like local businesses and small businesses, as i don’t want to tell it my friends and relatives so I will have to start with total stranger client, will it be possible to get client, or it is hard ?

More about fiverr or more about digital marketing? Fiverr is still new to me, but I know lots of freelancers offer their services there. You can be completely anonymous if you choose. Digital marketing can be done faceless and anonymous too. Lots of opportunities there!

Thank you for your information, also one thing I want to know, how hard it is to get your first few client, do we need to create fake reviews, and do we need our own website to show our work as most of the articles on internet said.

Your background in chemistry plus your abilities in writing, creativity, and data analysis seem to provide you a strong foundation, all of which may be very useful in the digital world! :globe_with_meridians:

I would advise you to begin freelancing by making use of your special combination of abilities. Creating content might be a fantastic career choice, particularly if you concentrate on areas that relate to your experience. You could find great demand in data-driven content, technical writing, or science communication. :bar_chart::pen:

In terms of revenue, freelancing may undoubtedly produce a “normal” salary, but it requires time to accumulate. Make an effort to assemble a compelling portfolio that highlights your skills and originality. Although websites like Upwork or Fiverr might be a terrific place to start, you should also think about producing original material that showcases your abilities because this can draw in

Hey thanks for giving me this idea, to use my knowledge of science and analysis for marketing, I will surely think about it and improve on it, and thank you for such a inspiring words… :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh my god, without a doubt! Many people use the abilities they acquired to become independent digital marketers and are earning a respectable career in this industry. The fact that it’s not a one-size-fits-all and that you may genuinely use it whatever you choose is fantastic. Many common people are learning how to operate for themselves without any prior experience. You bring a wealth of experience to the table. Don’t undervalue your expertise or experiences. You may be accomplishing just that with a little instruction in marketing and sales techniques. All you need to do is figure out how to use social media to your advantage.
