Where Should I Put My eBook Landing Page… On My Blog or a New Site?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice for my eBook project. I’m planning to sell it online and promote it on my blog, Facebook, and other social platforms. Here’s what I’m unsure about:

Should I:

  1. Create a landing page with its own URL (like xyztravelguide2025.com), or
  2. Make the landing page a part of my blog (like blogname.com/xyztravelguide2025)?

For some background, my blog gets around 3,000 visitors per month and has a domain authority of 11 based on SEMrush.

What do you think would work best? Thanks for your input!

I’d keep it as part of your blog. You’ve already got traffic coming in, so it’s smarter to use that rather than starting fresh with a new domain.

If you make a subdomain, search engines will treat it like a different site. Adding it directly to your main site is the way to go.

Option 2 makes more sense. Your blog already gets some traffic, and you can build on that by adding SEO-optimized posts related to your eBook.

Unless your eBook isn’t related to your blog, it’s better to add it there. It wouldn’t make sense to start a whole new domain!

If your eBook matches your blog’s niche, keeping it on your site is the best move. Having consistent branding across the board will help your conversion rates too.

Put it on your blog, definitely. Also, use UTM links to track how well it’s performing. If you expand to more eBooks in the future, this data will come in handy.

Adding the landing page to your blog is a solid idea. The traffic and domain authority you already have will help it rank better.

A separate domain might work if you want a unique brand, but it’ll take more effort since you’ll be starting from scratch.
