I used to consider myself a good digital marketer. However, my ads are flooded with bot activity. Tracking tools are showing completely different numbers to “links clicked” etc.
The ratio of actually a real human clicking most be about 10% at this point.
And yes, before you roast me! I’ve had a really bad run!!
Is there anybody out there who has a winning formula these days! I’ve just scanned around everybody seems to be having the same issue.
Facebook ads aren’t dead, but they’ve gotten harder. In 2020, I could scale ads easily, but now it’s a challenge even with a full team (buyer, copywriter, editor, designer). We had to bring in outside agencies for help with creatives, and it made a big difference.
My tip: Follow experts on creative strategy like Dara Denney, Sarah Levinger, Barry (bing) Hott, and Matt Gatozi. They’ve been really helpful.
I’m currently growing our new business, and things are going well. My wife wants to hold off on spending more on ads until we get a few more clients, but once that happens, I’m jumping into Google ads…
In one of our ads, Facebook somehow replaced our URL with a completely different, invalid one. The click count kept increasing, but we obviously got zero visitors. There’s a bug, but Facebook doesn’t seem to care as long as they’re making money. I don’t even trust their click counts anymore.
There could be several things going wrong. Facebook ads aren’t dead. Many of us and other marketers are still seeing results. Can you share how you’re setting up your ads?
Are you relying solely on Facebook ad tracking or using tools like Usermaven for attribution analysis? We noticed the Facebook visitor count was much higher than the actual attributed visitors when we started tracking more closely.
