I Could Really use an Expert Advice

Hi everyone,

I could really use some advice! I’m a doctor looking to create skincare and beauty content. Here’s a quick rundown of my timeline:

  • 2018: Started my account
  • 2019: Bought a few followers through apps
  • 2020: Posted a lot less
  • 2021: Moved to the USA and joined the Reels bonus program, so I started posting more, but it wasn’t always great content
  • 2022: Posted less and paid Meta to boost posts
  • 2023: Didn’t post for 6 months, then posted only occasionally
  • 2024 (July): Got a job that lets me focus on this. I’ve removed 3k fake followers and have been posting regularly for a month, but my reach is still poor

Should I stick with this account or start a new one from scratch? Any advice would be really appreciated!

I’d recommend starting a new account and building from there. Before you begin posting, try to create at least a month’s worth of content. by so doing, when you’re ready to launch, you can post consistently, for instance once a daily.

Would it matter if I kept my meta account centre the same and added a new Instagram account ???

Not sure to be honest. Meta is the worst platform of all. not to say how it can be confusing to add accounts. The UI is awful.

Don’t wait
just start and stay consistent.

Posting 5 times a week is still better than not posting at all.

Automate some of your content ideas and create a system to generate lots of ideas for your niche.

for my case, I’ve set up a system like this for my AI Automation agency, and now I have endless content ideas.

If you were running ads before, try contacting a representative. Ask them about your ads and also about the health of your organic account.

If you’re posting reels, you should be seeing engagement and growth. But for other types of posts, Meta has limited their reach to encourage people to pay for better visibility.

it would be a wise idea to start a new account. Reuse any evergreen content you have, update it, and get your content ready before you start posting. Use Meta ads carefully during the first 30 days of your new account, targeting a very specific audience to make sure your followers are the right fit. After the first month, have a professional review your ads (since Meta only offers support for ad spend over $5k) and help you create lookalike audiences. Put more focus on using reels and engaging content to build your account.

Okay this is insightful thank you so much

would it matter if I used the same meta account centre and create a new Instagram account? Or should I create one that’s not linked to it???

Yes, you should definitely start fresh with a new Meta account. If you have any valuable followers you want to move to the new account, set up the new account before deleting the old one. After posting about 5 to 7 times, you can ask your old followers to follow the new account. This way, you’ll see who’s willing to engage and help build on the new account. Give your last post about a week to reach your old followers before deleting the old account.
