Is Organic Social Media growth almost dead?

I’ve been handling social media pages and accounts for a year now and what i’ve noticed is that even clients with 15K+ followers get very low engagement (around 15-30 likes on static posts, 2-3k plays on reels)

Clients with lower following 500-1000 get a very low engagement rate on static posts i.e around 8-10 likes, no comments

Hashtags aren’t making any difference like they used to do a few years ago.

Am i the only one facing these problems?

It’s not just almost dead; it is dead. The only people still seeing results are manipulating the networks with bots.

What does “manipulating the network with bots” mean?

Buying likes, follows, comments, and similar interactions.

No! Focus on refining your strategy and studying your niche, including what your competitors are doing, what’s working for them and what isn’t. Borrow ideas, test them, and see what works for you.

Good artists copy; great artists steal. Don’t hesitate to emulate the top performers in your niche.

Capturing today’s consumers’ attention is challenging, so be creative and think outside the box.

Yeah, it is, but hashtags can still be useful if used strategically. Focus on smaller, more targeted hashtags that your audience actually uses. Also, create engaging content like videos, reels, polls, and questions to spark conversations and get people interacting.

It’s tough for organic growth these days, so you’re not alone in feeling this. With shifting algorithms and content saturation, it’s challenging. Have you tried using video content more actively? It usually gets better engagement and might give you a boost.

I didn’t use hashtags when I first started earlier this year, then I tried using them for a while, but I saw no difference at all. They seem to be a useless feature.

It depends on the platform. Instagram is currently prioritizing content shared through stories. Facebook and X focus more on comments, while LinkedIn tends to have more “normal” shares and engagement levels.

No, it might be that your posts aren’t quite hitting the mark, or you’re not posting frequently enough. I used to post on Instagram three times a day until I finally hit on a reel that performed exceptionally well. Just keep testing and experimenting.
