Looking for a digital marketing co-founder … any suggestions?

Hello everyone!

I’m a 32-year-old with skills in IT, AI, and product development. I’m starting a business in Belgium, and marketing is crucial for its success. I’ve worked with some freelancers on Upwork and noticed some interest in my business idea, but the ad quality is low and my targeting isn’t effective. I’m looking for someone who is fully committed to help take it to the next level.

Does anyone have ideas on where to find ambitious marketing professionals in Belgium or the UK? It seems like most marketers prefer freelancing over working with startups.

Hi there! What service or product are you offering? What markets and segments are you targeting?

I’m creating a platform for people to connect in a different and more natural way. It’s not aimed at dating. The audience is quite broad based on business validation, so I believe the marketing aspect is very interesting.

Try SEO services for your business.
Is that your business in the Dutch language?

Do you mean to recruit someone from such a service?

Yes, in Dutch, French, and English.

It sounds like you might need to learn how to market your product yourself.

Yeah, true, and of course I am. But I’m not the most graphic person. Also, I want to get some subsidies, but that is very difficult being a one-man team.

Hey!

I’ve just started my agency and maybe we can help each other grow. We can have a quick call to see if there’s something we can do together

Also, looking for co-founders might not be the best idea as you’d be giving them a lot of control over your business direction, and most are just looking for a paycheck. You can find other ways to motivate them to stay invested.

PS - I am from India, but we have clients all over. Mentioning it because of the earlier comment.

Hey. Which agency? Actually, I am working full-time in a real estate consulting firm, handling large budgets, content strategies, and performance marketing. I’m looking to switch and was thinking of starting something on my own or working with someone who has similar goals.

We have clients in top-tier cities. Let me know if you want to connect, maybe we can brainstorm and find ways to help each other.

Sounds like a good idea but I agree with the comment from statisticianslow, you don’t want to do co-founder. You want to hire someone as a marketing executive or outsource.
I have worked in marketing for 19 years and helped hundreds of businesses. More than happy to point you in the right direction.
Shoot me a message if you want to discuss. You may just need a go-to-market strategy and then you could look at hiring talent.

Here for you :muscle:

So, you are making a platform to find friends?

Friends and business contacts, yep.

You’ll have to conduct interviews to find the perfect freelancer who can boost the business. There are top-rated freelancers on Upwork who you can consider for high-quality work. I recently got this title on Upwork. But anyway, don’t underestimate other freelancers without checking. Interview everyone and you’ll find someone who can actually help you achieve your goals.

I have a background in marketing in the UK, even though it’s been a while since I worked in that role. Don’t just start with ads for now. First, try to understand your user or customer first and foremost.

Hey I’m studying team entrepreneurship in Finland. Our team company can maybe help you with this! We have a very dynamic team from all over Europe and Asia. We have done quite a lot of projects now.

Try to hire someone who knows more about consumer behavior first and marketing later!

Are you looking for someone that is only located in Belgium or the UK?

Ideally yes. But I’m open to Western Europe.

Got it, thank you for the response. I am currently located in the United States. I wish you the best of luck :raised_hands:

Well, I am not here to pitch but to help you.

To be honest, in the area you are targeting, there is huge competition (not in terms of apps but in terms of platforms; there are so many social groups online and if you look at them, most are almost inactive because everyone wants to get clients or jobs). Hence, it’s not a trustworthy environment because it’s hard to connect with someone as you know a pitch is coming any second.

So, if you are solving this issue, I would love to understand a bit more about your vision and product and help you with positioning, audience, and messaging.

You might think, how much? Well, a good connection and maybe a testimonial? Because I have worked in Info Market for 5 years and I want to get into software marketing as well, so it’s already a win-win.

Let me know if this interests you.
