I just launched a landing page for my product and I’ve been trying to get traffic to it. My first attempt was using Google Ads, but I noticed that the traffic it brings isn’t really the audience I want to reach.
After some research, I found that common advice is to go where my potential users are, like forums and subreddits. But executing this is tougher than I thought because many forums don’t allow promotions, or the users dislike anyone trying to sell to them.
So, what’s the best way to attract qualified traffic to my landing page? How can I get people interested in my product to visit my site?
Getting quality traffic can be tricky, I understand. I’ve tried Google Ads too, and it can miss the mark. A method that helped me was content marketing. Try guest blogging or sharing insights on LinkedIn or industry blogs where your audience hangs out. Running webinars or Q&A sessions is also a great way to engage people who are truly interested in your product. I’ve used tools like Writesonic for catchy copy and Pulse for Reddit to engage without being too pushy. Finding that balance really helps!
Bringing in qualified traffic really depends on how well your landing page and website guide your customers through their buying journey.
The buying journey has four stages: awareness, consideration, decision, and retention. Each stage needs specific content to guide customers along. If you just focus on traffic without addressing these stages, it won’t be effective. You need to connect with people who aren’t aware of the problem your product solves. Then provide information for their research. Finally, help them make a purchase decision.
This depends on your site and content. If you’re a local business, a local SEO strategy is best. But if your competition is global and tough, it could be challenging. DM me your website and I’ll take a look.
To attract qualified traffic, focus on creating valuable, SEO-optimized content that meets the needs of your audience. Engage with them on LinkedIn and Twitter, and build an email list for personalized content. Collaborating with influencers or industry leaders can help. Retargeting previous visitors with ads can boost conversions, and using referral traffic through backlinks or partnerships can also be effective. These strategies can help you reach a relevant audience beyond just Google Ads.

Thanks for the reply. SEO and engagement seem like the right path. If you had limited time and resources, which option would you prioritize first?
The agency I work for has a strategist who used to work for one of Google’s shadow companies. Our Google paid search campaigns are seeing a conversion rate of 1 in 5, and our targeting is spot on.
Paid ads with the right strategy can work well with landing pages and email marketing too. Your Google Ads didn’t perform because the strategy might not have targeted the right audience.
Otherwise, SEO can be tough since your landing page might not have enough content.

Yes, I actually just created a version of my landing page and ran some ads to drive traffic. Do you have any tips on where I can learn to be more effective with my campaign?
Google Ads might bring quick traffic, but lasting success comes from optimizing your page for search intent. The goal is to provide real, valuable answers to the questions users are searching for. There’s a paid approach that isn’t Google Ads. Try to get your product or brand featured on third-party sites with a backlink to your landing page. Research relevant sites and reach out to them for mentions. This brings in targeted traffic and adds authenticity, which helps with your SERP rankings too.

That sounds like a better way to drive qualified traffic. I haven’t explored this option before. Do you know how much these promotions cost or where I can find more info?

You can get backlinks through trusted agencies or freelancers and pay for them instead of exchanging links. The cost depends on factors like the website, the topic for mention, their domain authority, and the potential traffic they can bring. The key is to identify relevant topics and do some research. After getting a few mentions, I’ve seen my brand being featured more often in AI overviews.
Create an Instagram page for your company and collaborate with people in the same field. When they share content, interested users will find your landing page link.
Make sure your domain name is easy to remember so people can suggest it to others, and use SEO keywords that people might search for.
Analyze the keywords you use and see what other companies are using for similar content. Try to give people what they want. I hope this helps, and let me know if I made any mistakes!
