Is Fiverr helping you solve your marketing challenges? What do you enjoy about using it? What don’t you like?
After trying it without success, I’m switching to content creation.
I prefer to invest my time in something that works in the long run.
What did you use it for that didn’t work?
We use it for routine and time-consuming tasks. For example, we don’t have someone design creatives, but we’re happy to have someone set up Google Tag Manager for our clients.
I used it a while back for some illustrations, but it ended up costing more than $5. Still, the $15 or whatever per illustration I got was worth it. They were full-page children’s book illustrations.
I don’t think you can get much for just $5, especially for commercial use. But what you pay is often much less than elsewhere, which makes sense because many Fiverr illustrators are still building their portfolios.
It’s a race to the bottom, so places like India and other parts of Asia use it because $5 goes much further there.
Fiverr is really hit or miss, better to use Upwork instead.
Hey, are the credits on Upwork worth buying? I heard good things about Freelancer too, but I have no experience with it.
I haven’t used the credits in over a year. When I hired people, I used milestone payments instead of hourly. From what I know, credits are more for freelancers wanting to boost their profiles or proposals. Another site I used for great designers and UI/UX work was TopTal.
Whether hiring or freelancing, I focus on these two.
Thank you so much, I’m hiring freelancers and trying to find the best reliable platform, so this is really helpful!
I plan to build a profile soon and give it a try. I’ve heard both good and bad things, but I’ll know for myself once I try it.
My company has a mascot, and we hired someone on Fiverr to draw different versions of it, like one with a hockey stick or one on the toilet. We’ve also used it for voiceovers and simple animations with our mascot. I’ve only had good experiences, but I can only speak for myself.
I had some decent results with SEO gigs.
It brought me a lot of traffic, but for some reason, I can’t even share a simple image link of my traffic.
I use Fiverr occasionally for smaller tasks like logo design or quick copywriting, but sometimes the quality can vary depending on the freelancer.
I’m on both sides of this. I hire people for tasks I don’t have time for and also create UGC videos and social media ads to list on Fiverr.
They are definitely buyer-focused. Being a seller is tough, but what I’m doing brings in a lot of business. I originally hired creators to make my affiliate marketing UGC for loans, refinancing, etc., for Instagram and TikTok, then started making them myself and built a home studio.
Now I handle the ‘face of the brand’ by filling out social media with real human videos and creating the ads they run.
I even started doing professional product shoots. It’s cheaper to go direct from my website, but Fiverr has decent traffic volume, and I have many repeat clients and agencies.
But the customer has all the leverage on that platform.
I’ve used Fiverr for small marketing tasks like graphic design and content writing, and it’s been pretty hit or miss.
Some freelancers are amazing, but you need to sift through to find the right one. Do you use Fiverr for any specific marketing tasks, or have you found a better platform?
I have a great logo designer I use from there.
But she costs $100 and up, and I’m okay with that.
You don’t get anything of quality and value for $5. End of story.
If you’re looking for good results for $5 on any marketplace, you’re expecting too much.
